Vince would have known how to book this lifelong jobber properly: give him a few wins to set him up for a title shot and then have him come short every single time until he retires. Maybe he gets squashed a time or two in Canada for good measure. Because that’s his gimmick: the eternally hopeful babyface (or possibly increasingly deluded/desperate heel) who just isn’t good enough to hang with the greats, no matter how hard he tries.
Unfortunately Paul has probably been talked into giving him a pity run at some point. Hopefully it’s short and he can go back to his rightful position as jobber to the stars.
