There’s a ton of jokes to be made, but I imagine this has to be part of the reason why they lost Kenta Suzuki Naito SANADA maybe evil etc and something needs to change because they’re not just losing people to one company they’re losing people in every direction. They’re losing people to other companies within Japan. They lose people to WWE. They lose people to AEW. God forbid TNA continues their success and also starts outbidding them for people. Something does need to change and if I cut who is right there in the thick of it and was there the entire time is saying that it feels different now they should probably at least in some part listen to that.

A large part of the reason NJPW is so shit is because Bushiroad management blatantly cares more about Stardom. It's been a gradual thing since they bought it and with NJPW down during COVID and it's main ebento and even upper midcard guys getting old, they switched focus to Stardom because its roster is younger and full of pretty girls so they feel it's more marketable. Double reinforced by most of the young guys shitting the bed both on their own and due to bad booking. Also probably helps that Stardom's wrestlers are likely cheaper ane unlike with NJPW their biggest competitor (TJPW) is still well below them and can't pay what Stardom does even at Stardom's cheaper rates. So why focus on NJPW when you can get a bigger ROI for cheaper?

Basically Stardom has been good for Bushiroad but a poison pill for NJPW.

All the top guys in New Japan are leaving, guys who have been wrestling in New Japan for over a decade. Guys who have main evented multiple Tokyo Domes and been the World Champion. There was a time when this was thought to be an impossibility. Even fucking EVIL is leaving now. There is a deeper root problem here. They've reached a state where they need a Tanahashi retirement tour and Okada to sell out the Tokyo Dome, this should not be happening
