I forgot who said it, but basically someone said in an interview that Dom is the last true wrestler (in the context of learning like the old school guys in house shows), because he caught the tail end of WWE still doing house shows, and because of it, he got to work with people they would never allow him to work with on TV, he was Punk's first match back, he got to wrestle, Cody, Orton, Cena and many others.

Not only that, but he would work RAW, NXT, and Smackdown in the same week. He had the "old school" schedule for a while, and was only surpassed in matches wrestled by Cody Rodes just a couple years ago.

They are making new stars. You don't push them until the geriatrics are ready to start exiting, because they're still attractions people want to see.
New Blood vs Millionaire's Club and any similar programs all crashed and burned because people like to cheer for the familiar faces more, even if they're booked like heels.
Most of the guys you listed are part time, and once Punk, Cody, and Seth all are as well, the landscape will be more clear.

The thing is, there really are no true prospects to carry the torch, and that's everywhere, not just WWE, the difference between a Punk and a Bron is so fucking big that they never allowed Punk to do promos with him (yes, I'm aware they did have promos together, but you know what I mean, you know that an unshackled Punk would just bury him in 5 minutes). Only NXT wrestler that I believe can be a main eventer is Trick Williams. In AEW, the only one who can be a main eventer is Jay White, but he is currently inactive, and has been booked like a completely retarded jobber before injury.

I don’t mind them pushing guys. But I don’t get why they think Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker are “the guys” they need to push for those top heel spots (on Raw).

Like, Gunther I get. (I can’t stand his boring ass chops and submissions style, but I get it. He can cut a promo and is a legit big menacing figure).

Logan Paul, I absolutely get.

Even nepo Dom, I get. He struggles to cut promos, but he’s pretty electric in the ring.

I don't believe Trick Williams can be a main eventer, because even though he has star potential, he's just not consistent enough with it. Not to mention, every time Trick has to talk, he has that lisp that makes him sound less intimidating than he tries to come off as, and also makes Trick less believable. That's why Carmelo Hayes is better than him, and more believable too.

he's definitely consistent enough in the ring. he's not amazing but he rarely stinks it up and has had some truly great matches, more than bron has.
i've also never heard anyone say trick has a lisp before. a lisp doesn't even hold you back, cody is the top guy in the company and he has the lisp.
melo is a midget and he's not excessively jacked like ilja, he's not believable at all.

Bron has the goldberg car crash aura to him. The wild botches are part of the appeal, and not in a "worked botch" way. Hes short but not painfully short (For modern wrestling) and has a good look. He wont need to be a 10/10 promo since its not like guys like Cena are walking around there anymore.
