I was excited when he went to WCW but I didn’t understand wrestling enough to realize he would never get over. No one was going to bump or sell for him or make his matches look like those Tanaka matches. His entire career relies on that. Moreso than just about any other wrestler I remember. The 2 high points of his WCW career relied on other guys putting him over huge, Kanyon taking a cage dive and Hogan letting him Powerbomb him through a table. He didn’t warrant people putting him over that big.
