She literally had zero wrestling skills for 80% of her career. She's managed to cobble together a few decent moves like the rolling boston crab and the stunner and she's brushed up on her basics so she can run the ropes like a normal wrestler. I'm glad TJPW did nothing with her because it seems to have motivated her to learn how to wrestle instead of just relying on her charisma to carry her.

I have nothing against TJPW but Itoh probably should have left a couple years ago. She'd clearly hit a ceiling as a character there. She's not really my cup of tea, but she's definitely a breath of fresh air for Stardom at the moment. Plus, she seems to finally be working on being a more complete wrestler instead of just a gimmick. So, good for her.

TJPW was unironically better than Stardom under Rossy. Rika Tatsumi was like a discount Fujinami and they had Maki, prime Miyu back in like 2021 and they put on fun shows.

The funniest thing is she gets more over with Stardom crowds at every show when Stardom loyalists here and on social media who only watched her through GCW swore she wouldn't be a good fit not realizing she's a real good storyteller and enhances other characters mainly with her act.

Stardom already has 99% great workers on their roster. They needed someone like her to diversify the product more.

I always thought she was interesting but was never really able to get into TJPW.
Her strongest asset is that, despite what one might say about her in-ring skills, she understands wrestling. Yes, you're faking a fight, but the goal at the end of the day is to entertain the fans and, in wrestling, that means going a bit overboard. It's one of the things TJPW really does do better than Stardom.

Working in the US probably helped with that quite a bit, since her current style is more of a Western concept. She reminds me a lot of how Toni Storm put her whole Timeless thing together.
