>>19760827you have to have irreparable brain damage to see that swerve vs kevin match and think it was anything but a huge boost to kevin's stock. swerve busted his ass to help make him a star. it's not happening immediately, and losing there is not a negative for kevin.
i didn't really see bailey vs joe but it was probably similar idea just not as good, no comment on it tho.
jetspeed jobbing to the TOP GUYS is a non-issue. especially kevin. let's be real it doesn't matter how good bailey is, he's small and he has a ceiling. he's not winning the world title. if he's losing to geeks like action jannetty or whatever, you'd have a good point. he's not losing to anyone who doesn't matter, which is what his role should be. kevin should be slightly above him right now but not too much. they'll be a tag team for a while.
darby is another case like bailey. MAYBE one day he can have a quick win for the world title, and lose it very quickly, but i'm against cheap things like that personally. it's not unusual for an american promotion but i'd want AEW to be better than that. so again, i think darby is being used in the right spot. he can main event big shows on rare occasion, but never consistently. the mox match was enough.
ishii has been a perennial midcard or upper midcard guy in NJPW since 2013 and he has been used perfectly. not everyone needs to constantly be moving up into the main event.
