Honestly?

Has a level of respect for what hes accomplished in the business.
He certainly is personally insecure and defensive. He certainly burned 100 bridges.
He probably manipulated AJ, who was very maliable to do what he wanted.
To his credit he Now looks to be evolving to a more humble person (though you can argue hes all out of options)

Was never great in the ring. Was pretty good match caller though.
One of the all time greats on the mic.
Handy gimic.

Actually his second fight doesn't count because his opponent used performance enhancing drugs(weed).

If we're being fair, his mickey gall fight wasn't an even match. Gall and Punk were supposed to fight as each other's first bout, but Punk somehow got himself injured during training and was out for a year and that meant Gall had two fights of experience ahead of Punk.

I still find it funny that he tried to leave wrestling behind, and failed so hard at literally everything else he ever tried outside of it, that he had to come back a decade later to make a living of it again. But everything I think about has already been said a thousand times before. Narcissist, weirdo, mark for himself. And honestly, he does cut a good promo and is a good worker. An overhated guy, he's a good promo and was a good worker, but he's really old now and it shows. It's also harder for him to work that worked-shooter gimmick after leaving WWE, going to AEW, then coming BACK to WWE, you can't do all that then start talking about the office is against you and so on. He should probably retire at Wrestlemania this year.
