I understand why Lyra cried. This was the big blowoff to her first big feud on the main roster, at her first SummerSlam, and her first singles match at a stadium show. It's the biggest match she's ever had, and it's against Becky, the person who inspired her to become a wrestler, and who's talked about how she has such high hopes for Lyra. You have to be at the venue at probably 6:00 in the morning to have plenty of time to walk through your match, go through hair and makeup, all to prepare for your <30 minutes of screentime. The match finally happens, something goes wrong, you have a split second to decide what to do about it and she makes the wrong choice and everybody saw it, and the audience was never able to get into it. I'd probably cry too.
Also, this isn't her fault, but I thought the SummerSlam match had too many contrived spots that made it hard for me to get into even aside from that botch. It was a big departure from Lyra and Becky's previous matches which I thought were phenomenal.
