I didn't really watch WWF back then (was a WCW guy who ended up watching WWF around 1999 or so), but looking in from the outside it felt as though Kane started at the top and worked his way down the ranks

KWAB (Kane was always based). It's Kane for me too bro. When I was younger I remember watching raw after Ppvs and Kane always fucking lost. Felt bad as a kid because he was my favorite.
