You can think he’s Corny or not funny or any number of things that are true, but Sinbad was a fucking draw for half a decade just like Dice or even someone that’s a joke now like Gallagher or Carrot Top. When his popularity started going down in the late 90’s he smartly realized it and pivoted to this Sinbad Soul Power Jam or something, kind of like the Jericho cruise where he would book these 70’s Soul legends and he would do comedy sets between, those are unironically beloved now by people that like that style of music
