Not an actual insider, but know somebody. Here's what I heard:
>TKO wanted Cody, Roman and Liv on top due to movies and cross-promotion capabilities
>Original plans were different, Vision was supposed to play a bigger role, Bron elimination was not initial plan, Brock was eliminated sooner than planned hence the unceremonious way he exited, Knight's elimination was changed, some speculate he was at one point figured in to win, not sure though, Gunther was supposed to be screwed by someone and not just dumped
>Liv was always an idea for a potential winner but the TKO call cemented it, no leak as to who the other candidate(s) were or was
>Cody was supposed to retain from WM 41 to 42. Cena Heel turn changed it to Summerslam, then Cody himself convinced WWE and TKO to drop it to Drew. He was supposed to drop it at Wrestlepalooza, but something about Fatu's injury and WWE thinking it was too soon changed that so TKO had him retain and made the Cena Brock match to have a shocking moment at the first ESPN event. They considered nixing the title drop but Cody Insisted they needed to open up the main event to more people esp. when the WHC was the workhorse belt but circumstances led to needing to keep it on someone longterm but Cody said they needed more guys at the top and had people who were ready. At first people were a little upset about Cody being so adamant but then due to HHH supporting it and lockerroom consent people respected it as him actually wanting to be he QB and do what's best for the roster and company
>They actually tried to play up Cody getting boos considering playing with a Cena dynamic
>WWE wanted Konnan on AAA commentary permanently partly due to reception and Graves and JBl backing him but TKO feels he isn't polished enough
Maybe all I know that hasn't been talked about much.
