In the video, the fan took responsibility for the tone of his heckling during Perez’s match and admitted it crossed the line. He insisted the heckling was part of a long-standing wrestling tradition:

>“Nobody made me apologize. It was fully my decision to,” he said. “I feel like my tone in that video… I got too hyped. I got too caught in the moment and my tone was a little disrespectful. Matter of fact, it wasn’t a little disrespectful, it was very disrespectful.”

>“I was just chirping a heel during the match. That’s something we do all the time. It’s very common and I never really meant any harm.”

The fan also responded to online accusations that his actions were driven by bias against female talent. A key moment in the viral video showed a security guard stepping in, which many believed was related to his verbal comments. He clarified that wasn’t the case at all:
