It stands for Always Punish Fans. Never, under any circumstances give them what they want, no matter how much sense it makes. If you find out people want something you were already planning on doing: change it. No logic required. It's called a curveball. And no, this should never act on the psychologically prove principle of denial and reward where you build expectations to build up anticipation so the high of seeing something they like is even better. No. This is wrong. This could draw a dime and you definitely don't want that. Give them nothing good, put nothing they want to see on your program, and tell them that you aren't going to. Ever. They need to shut up and enjoy the show.
