Apparently she has a very severe injury like Hayter had that kept her out nearly 2 years. Hayter was actually very lose to retiring but Tony letting her take her time recovering saved her career. WWE would literally never allow any of that with their talent

Because when he has you under contract he's in control. He can take out his petty vengeance in passive aggressive ways off screen like benching you quietly for however long he wants or adding injury time to your contract. This is likely the biggest culprit. She's had issues with other women plenty. Not to say those aren't relevant but she'd still be around and on tv during those. I think the Adam Cole stuff is the least relevant and just something people want to be an issue. Wrestlers break up all the time. It's not even like Cole is around or doing shit week to week. Nor had he been throughout most of the time she's been away. Meanwhile we see how MJF has pulled strings before
