Tony Schiovane knew but he never told Bobby Heenan. Eric Bischoff's policy was to not let commentators know so that their commentary is more reactionary and authentic.

Schiovanne always has the inside edge on info but does not share it with his broadcast partner because he thinks knowledge is power according to Heenan.
