Kayfabe in Japan is different. The fans aren't retarded. Of course they know it's fake. But, knowing that, the wrestlers, who actually RESPECT the fans and understand the people in the business are provided their livelihoods by the GENEROSITY OF THE FANS decide to actually put their bodies on the line. Basically, the fans in Japland know wrestling is fake and gay and that makes the wrestlers actually take real risks in their matches to make them more compelling.
It's some real samurai shit. It's based because it's all about respect. Respecting your audience, respecting the business that puts food on your table and provides for your family.
