>>19858176First time I met JR, I introduced myself and extended my hand as always. He replied "That's nice." Without looking up.
Many times we would ask talents to do pickups, wildines or multiple takes on projects. Extremely common beyond WWE. Normal TV production request. He would always make comments about getting paid extra. Would start as a joke but was said so often, you knew he wasn't joking. Just made for awkward environment.
Only person ever who made a PA do a special run. We would always present talents with a folder of menus to choose from. During the Mid south dvd interviews, and one of the wrestlers interviewed chose a place (cannot remember who) JR told PA, "I don't give a fuck. You are going to Rinaldi's to get a fucking potato salad for me."
He did something like that once during Steve Austin shoot too. Steve actually changed his choice so the PA didn't have to make extra trips.
He would smoke cigarettes indoors (Pat Patterson too!) And you would inhale it and wreak.
We also used him for Legends Round table. Him and Michael Hayes would get smashed. That was not coffee in their cups. And JR would be almost unusable by the end of thr shoot.
Again these are small things. But after working with him on and off for years, it became grating. I dreaded days with JR.
