There's basically limited selection of horror character types in movies and stories and even less limited variety of those that can be used in wrestling.
-Your typical Jason Vorhees, big man that no sells - i.e. Kane, Undertaker - those worked because Vince understood the shock value of the rising back up spot.
-Supernatural dope fiends, aka vampires are a dead gimmick due to overexposure in past decades.
-Vince did not understand The Fiend being a nightmare creature like Freddy Kruger or It - the clown and constantly interfered with booking to it's detriment.
-Currently HHH and creative can't figure out if Wyatt 6 is magical or just a cult and that's gets messed up all the time changes on a week to week basis.
-Nobody understand the shit Finn Balor cooked up while he was high, not even Finn so the Demon is both a fucking magic creature and a Finn putting paint on to dance and job like he's auditioning for Cirque du soleil
-Your inhuman behemoth Frankstein - PoC, worked for the low audience indie crowds because they love to play up to the silly parts. This includes lesser variants like zombies and mummies. You can't put these on screen and expect big numbers.
