I feel like this is somewhat related but back when Kurt came back to the WWE after doing indy stuff for awhile he said he was feeling great and wanted to keep wrestling, but they put him in a managerial role for awhile and during that time his body started to fall out of the rhythm so when it was actually time for his retirement run he couldn't go like how he would've been able to do just a few years earlier.
there's definitely a balance that can be struck between little to no house shows and 300 shows a year
