>>19879928They drop so many storyline or stop start them and take huge breaks in between that by the time another story beat happens, it's been months and no one cares.
Remember when Asuka was abusing Kairi and Iyo was a bit conflicted telling Kairi to leave her. The Kabukis were on every show in multiple segments for a few weeks. Then it just stopped because they had already set up the match at crown jewel and had no story until then so kabuki/rhiyos were barely on TV for a few weeks leading up to it.
Then the kabukis lost but Rhea got injured. Iyo just completely disappeared because she no longer existed on her own. The Kabukis then called out the tag team champs and got a match... After losing a major tag match. They won them and then after a long month Rhea returns... For wargames. Which very quickly went from team Rhea v Team Asuka to can rhea coexist with Charlotte, and then to Becky v AJ.
A few weeks later rhea beats Kairi in a random singles match. Then Asuka beats Rhea in singles match 2 weeks later. Then they have a tag title defence 3 weeks after that where they lose to Rhiyo.
Asuka and Kairi are barely on TV, getting 30s segments at most for a few weeks. Then Kairi fucks Asuka at the rumble. It's been so many months since Asuka slapped Kairi and the crowd booed Asuka super loud. But that's ok they can follow this super late bit of plot progression with... 2 weeks of neither of them being on TV at all.
They train there audience not to care about anything. No story matters, no buildup leads anywhere, no payoff is guaranteed. Even if the story is progressing "quickly" it amounts to 10mins a week which makes it the slowest show on TV.
