>>19900781>it's bad because it's different now and not true "lucha"Jokingly paraphrasing of course. I'm not gonna argue with you about your taste, I just don't get the attitude.
As a rhetorical question: Why you want to gatekeep this on a board on the one thread everyone else don't want pointless console war bullshit on? We all autistic typing anything here but that's super autistic, there is no reward if it's "/lucha/" or a "/lucha* (*that isn't real lucha just lucha adjecent according to one guy)". You can, you should choose to not engage in that side if it's not for you and focus on what you like friendo. I could not give two shits about AEW in the current year - CMLL doing business with them however is inconsequential to me if CMLL talent can put on a good show and especially not for this thread.
On the business side, it didn't make sense for AAA to be your narrow definition of Lucha either, they are aiming for global market, changes must happen because being a direct competitor for CMLL didn't work for Peñas, they were broke. When you stuck with a partner like TKO that wants to merge your product into theirs, you change up for better or worse depending on who you ask so you can be integrated for the other programming, and it's going pretty well for them so far - how this makes them less "real lucha" I don't get.
Nearly every mofo under a mask at some point hoped to be in WWE because it's the big bucks and big fame stage - even your precious 'Sin Cara' adopted some the style while there before turning to the "true", does that make him less true lucha by your definition? I don't think so nor should it.
Let's just cool the jets and enjoy the damn thing, stop splitting hairs for nothing.
