Tony really did hold things together. He was way more observant than the other two kind of kept them from lingering in the same joke for too long. Although, his last few months you knew he was checked out because he would go a half hour without making a sound.

I’ve only seen the Retro Syncs on YouTube, so maybe the way they showcase it is wrong, but on the three guys:

- Tony seems shoot autistic and awkward when he interacts with the other two
- James looks miserable/snarky if he’s not watching 90’s Japanese wrestling or ROH
- Johnny is shoot retarded giggling at every little thing which takes away from the review for me

Tony worked as the occasional straight man (needed in a dynamic) plus he's a old bastard who was a teenager/twenties during the AE and has watched decades of wrestling. Plus his jokes always hit, least for me anyways, way drier which is a nice contrast to the other two.

I deleted it because the bitrate was dogshit and I couldn't find a higher quality version in a couple minutes of searching. Pretty sure there is one on Archive.org, anyway, my point is there is a lot of good old wrestling and seeking that out and watching it is a better use of time then listening to podcasts of people pretending to know what they are talking about monologuing about Hogan in Memphis or something. Get the Mid-South torrent or one of the old DVDR top 20 packs for Lucha/NJPW
