>>19911052He's the wrestlers favourite wrestlers as others have said.
Firstly, he's the bridge between two eras. He grew up in the World of Sport tradition that emphasised making wrestling look real. Everything you did had to make sense.
Secondly he's extremely well travelled. He's basically been in every major promotion and done indies on every continent including weird places like Africa.
Thirdly, he understands wrestling as both an in ring story and a performance. The British tradition of Les Dawson and the like is still alive in Regal and he was a brilliant performer, mostly used as a snob or a chickenshit heel in his WWE run, but he was great at hamming it up for the camera.
>he's not Austin or Rock or...Nobody claims he is. But also 99.999% of wrestlers who existed weren't them either but they had great careers. They cant be the measuring stick. The fact that people as diverse as Triple H and Bryan Danielson, two wrestlers would couldn't be more opposed to each other stylistically, both creditor him as a mentor is important
>Matches Regal/Finlay from WCW are usually the ones Americans recommend but there's a ton if you go looking.
>FeudsSomeone mentioned NXT Cesaro but I'll go with Benoit 1996. In fact the Nitro match vs Benoit in March 96 is often considered one of the best TV style matches of all time
>I dont like himNobody is asking you to. People like different styles of wrestling. Wrestlers like Regal because he makes wrestling look like wrestling and his psychology is incredible.
