It's time to accept that WWE can not create new main event stars.
The current world title picture consists of 3 guys who became top guys OUTSIDE of WWE.
Cody and Drew were comedy jobbers, Stardust and 3MB.
Punk was established in ROH, before signing with WWE. But after walking out, WWE had no interest in working with him as a full time wrestler again.
Drew gets a clue and gets over as a main eventer in the indies and TNA.
Cody does that same with the indies, NJPW and then AEW.
WWE would finally gain interest in signing Punk full time after Punk proved he was still a main event level wrestler in AEW.
Roman is the only WWE guy that got over as a main eventer in recent memory and it took a decade of a forced babyface push, which drove away thousands of viewers.
He finally got over 10 years later as a heel because the fans grew to hate him. And he became a part timer immediately kek.
They've tried with Priest, Bron, Jey, Gunther and it's failed every time.
Gunther is the most credible and the guy with most indie experience before joining WWE.
Why can't WWE create new main eventers?
Shouldn't WWE encourage companies like AEW, NJPW, JCW, to create credible new main eventers?
The PC is a failure.
