AJ has said it 200 times at this point different ways. Above is an example randomly grabbed from 2024. He's retiring in TNA. They have wanted him for a HOF spot for a few years now and he wants to finish up wrestling in WWE first... which he just did.

Why would you retire in TNA wrestling a nobody like Kaz or Santana? There's nobody involved in that company who AJ has any loyalty too. I doubt he's turning up in AEW, but ending it in TNA would be a grim way to go out.

I don't expect some long run from him or something but I would be pretty surprised if he didn't work a short match at retire at bfg. TNA has wanted him for the HOF since before the wwe/tna shit started. He's said he wants to finish up with wrestling before he does the HOF spot.
I don't really see a guy like AJ retiring in WWE then doing some big tour or working for years in AEW or some shit. Just doesn't make sense. Especially when he's already said what he wants to do.
