He was just saying that “if you want me to put him over, then it makes sense for me to lose” but Vince wanted Phil to go over. So he’s thinking “okay, but you still want me to make him look good, got it”. At the tome Phil was a fucking ring general, so he knew how to do that well yet all these producers kept nagging him. Not once in that interview did he actually insult Roman. He was mostly pissed at Micheal Hayes
