like xcom general was once legitimate posting, but then after a certain point xcom general and mass effect general just became chatrooms until they died and baldurs gate general is basically just a chatroom. you can see it on other boards where there isn't new content like most of the evergreen /k/ generals are kind of shit outside of like precision rifle or .22 or reloading general. it's why people stopped making mass effect general and constantly make totally not a general threads on /v/. although with mass effect specifically that suffers from not having any new content in a decade so it's not like there's much to discuss unless you are new to the franchise.
there are probably too many generals on /pw/ and some fags will pretend the /pw/ gens are like the /vg/ gens, but it really isn't the same because the /pw/ gens are for active wrestlers who are on active weekly shows. so it's more like gens for actively ongoing tv shows on /tv/ or the fighting game general or the sports generals on /sp/ for sports that are in season. most of the /pw/ generals would be less active if there wasn't someone actively trying to slide them all the time. when we were on the other board during the hack the generals only really got posted in after the shows every week because that board had an unlimited number of pages
