Austin and Patrick were the first examples that shit was done. Ryan dying was one of the only times a "celebrity" death hit me in any way. Only other that pops into my head immediately would be Trevor Moore.
As dumb as it sounds I think Ryan's soul and body just gave the fuck up as he was not built for what was coming. He was losing weight when he died so it wasn't even like his fat caught up with him.
