As for Bron, I think he is missing a certain factor, like yeah, he can do the Steiner stuff and talk kinda like them but he's still the guy who's 'like his dad and uncle' and doesn't have a Big Poppa Pump personality or gimmick and hasn't brought his own thing to the table. Another issue is that who is going to actually put him over? The options are Cody, Punk and Seth, guys at the top of their game and it's going to be hard to fill their shoes or be seen as better than them when those guys are still able to deliver at a higher level. It's like when Cena put over Roman the first time or Theory, it felt like bs because Cena was still clearly better at pretty much everything.
For Punk, he has been at the top if his game since coming back and better ay storytelling than ever in my own opinion, but these last 3 weeks have kind of been off as he didn't have much to work with and him and Roman don't have the dynamic like Cena and Rock where Cena could just come out and talk trash for like a year without Rock and juggle other feuds and the crowd would be on fire. Part of it is also that most of the crowd is kind of fans of both of them and nobody can get a rally going and when Punk digs deep he comes off heelish same as Roman comes off as trying to get heat with the virgin comments. On top of that, the Balor story was the better story on paper but we know he's not going to win etc. As far as Roman and Punk, all the insults to be made have already been hurled at them by everyone and their mothers, so not much is really going to land and they need to stick to building upon their different motivations and why they differ, but so Roman's motivation is 'I hate you' . Not the worst feud, but for a two month Mania main event build they gotta pull something out
