If at any point in a wrestling match there is a spot that blatantly involves and looks like the opponent is cooperating, then it is an objectively bad match. If you are upset by this objective fact, then you do not understand wrestling.

I was watching some gAyEW a month or so ago and it was a 4 way tag match and there were two spots where all 8 men were cooperating to do the Young Buck's stupid fucking spots. I don't understand how any true wrestling fan can like such blatant choreography. It doesn't look like a real fight, it's closer to dancing

It makes perfect sense that someone would try to turn around and bounce off the ropes to try and get some momentum into a counterattack instead of just eating shit by getting thrown at the ropes

Why would a wrestler throw another into the ropes if there wasn’t an expectation they’d bounce back, or it relies on the opponent being thrown to know the bounce back. Let me clarify. You have wrestler 1 and wrestler 2. Wrestler 1 Irish ships wrestler 2. According to you, the Irish whip occurs because wrestler 2 is countering being thrown into the ropes. But that doesn’t explain why wrestler 1 would even consider throwing wrestler 2 into the ropes. Why would wrestler 1 throw wrestler 2 if wrestler 1 has to rely on wrestler 2 counterattacking? And if wrestler 2 knows he’s being thrown because there is an expectation of a counterattack, wouldn’t the better counterattack be to NOT bounce off?

The irish whip doesn't look cooperative. That's why it was used all the time even at the height of kayfabe when wrestlers were trying as hard as they could to avoid looking like they were cooperating. Try again, retarded tranny.

Yeah, the fights in movies and TV shows are fake too but they maintain enough verisimilitude that people can suspend their disbelief and get invested. People could get invested in Neo and Agent Smith fighting in the subway because even though everyone knew it was fake in reality and they were really just two actors cooperating, on screen it looked like they were actually trying to fucking kill each other. Pro wrestling doesn't need to look real, it just needs to look real enough to make people suspend their disbelief. And irish whips look real enough. Blatantly cooperative retardation like this, on the other hand, doesn't.

I agree with what you're saying, but I'll point out that this is actually a botch, not something that's supposed to look like it does.
When wrestlers slam each other like that the guy getting slammed usually jumps. Their timing was off here, either due to miscommunication or Ospreay thinking Strickland was in position when he wasn't.
