The crowd isn't going to support MJF but they feel like they can't boo a guy standing there crying in the ring about being a victim of racist childhood bullying. So the whole thing is just cut to a small handful of quiet confused boos while the crowd just waits awkwardly for a cue to do something that never comes.
I don't see how this was in any way a good promo yet but it was definitely one of the most deliberately awkward wrestling segments I've ever watched.
