Austin is way more all around than Rock. Rock was great but was never a good heel and ring general as Austin.

to me the rock's main rival was hhh but you could make an argument for stone cold. austin's rival was clearly mcmahon. it felt forced but they had to work some programmes together as the two biggest stars.

Crazy how the two biggest draws of all time (in terms of peak) only worked two big programs together (WM19 doesn't count since it was kind of half assed and both were part timers)

Hollywood Rock was the only time I think people hated him as main eventer, and even then he was part time. By 99 the crowd was already cheering him; Mania and Backlash were just two guys who were over

The Rock. More versatile. He was great as a face and heel. Could work well with guys like Jericho Angle and Benoit, and can also work well with guys like Hogan. He was also a bigger star but Austin marks hate when you point that out.
