For what it's worth, after the Mike Jackson fight I said I never wanted to see him back because too much time had passed and the window to capitalize on the buzz was slammed shut. By the time he was on the FOX show I just didn't care. When he came back to AEW and just cut Foley/Cena hybrid promos every week that sealed the deal. Might as well not even be the same person.
