In 2006, when I was 12 I was pretty new to wrestling, I started watching when Raw returned to USA in 2005. I was a massive John Cena fan and basically my fandom for him consumed my whole personality for the better part of 2 years.
On this particular night John Cena had to defend his WWE title in the Masterlock Challenge against Chris Masters.
At this time nobody had beaten the Masterlock Challenge.
When Cena started to sell that he was fading I started crying and jumped as high as I could into the air and landed on my knees while screaming "NOOOOO!!!!".
When the ref bump happened and Cena got out of the Masterlock I I was ecstatic, my tears had turned into tears of joy.
When Cena locked the Masterlock in on Masters I screamed "THE CHAMP IS HERE" as loud as I could and then when Masters tapped I screamed "YOU LITTLE BITCH" at the tv
My Mom was in the room for this whole thing and told me to calm down, then she yelled at me for swearing.

It's from old 4chan culture actually. Back when people were discussing the video game Persona 4 and how people can name and self-insert as the Japanese Protagonist.
