Hell, Disney just swapped out Anastasia to the Starz app from Disney+ for x amount of time. A movie not produced by Disney but owned by Disney. That's the entire endgame. Collect them, lease them, wash rinse repeat. Networks see this as the only way to compete with the Internet, YouTube, TikTok and other time eaters, so they're going all in with the cash.
Eventually AEW will have it's own soft relaunch, as WWE has had many times over, and the app or streaming rights will be in place, with a new TV deal and over 3 years of AEW content in the can. There's no Tony Khan without the WWE Network as the blueprint. That he likes wrestling is nice, but this is straight up business on a billionaire's level. Coke, meet Pepsi. Disney, meet WB. WWE, meet AEW.
