It's actually more weird that WWE just pretends that everything outside of their bubble doesn't exist. E-drones only get mad when people in AEW mention WWE because they've been conditioned for decades to think that that isn't allowed.

When Eddie Kingston referenced WWE in his promo with Jericho I cringed and couldn't watch anymore. Why does EVERY promo have to reference WWE? Are the feuds/rivalries so lackluster that they have to do constant references to create heat?

Why is it so bad when another company acknowledges WWE? We've spent twenty years seeing that footage of DX showing up to the arena and bring told hoe cooool it was. Yet if someone mentions WWE drones lose their shit.
