He was, but he still did shit like walking out of the company rather than putting over the next top star WWE was building in Brock Lesnar, while Hogan put him over no questions asked.

Who knows who else's pushes Austin killed because he didn't want to job? Even the most scheming backstage politicians like HHH and HBK knew when to lay down for someone.

Savage v Warrior is one of my fav matches of all time, quite possibly my very favorite. It's top 5 for sure. But the rest of the event was shit. Rockers vs those 2 big guys ok for an opener I suppose.

The only serious competition WM17 has, in that era, is Backlash 2000.
