And that was just in 1998. Example: 4/6 Monday Nitro TV broadcast in Miami, FL at the Miami Arena headlined by Kevin Nash vs. Sting, drew 13,646 sellout (12,448 paid) paying $284,334, which was the largest gate in the history of professional wrestling in the state of Florida.
Nash would again break the Florida state gate record in 1999 when he headlined Bash at the Bach 1999 ($444,000 gate) and well as many others.
Steve Austin, The Rock, Hulk Hogan, and Goldberg didn't break the Florida gate record in 1998 and 1999 for pro wrestling. Kevin Nash did.
