>>4738540The advertising is trash. Unless it had the WWE brand on it, you'd think it was a nickelodeon show. "Yeah it's like that..." What kind of catchphrase is this? The show is like what? Older people would be turned off since they don't get "yeah its like that." It's too abrasive for them. The shitty nickelodeon crap would turn off anyone past the age of 13 and gen alphas don't bother with modern TV since their 90s kids parents just shove old cartoons in their faces.
Okay so you have to survive the shitty presentation. You're treated to godawful rap with harsh and poor lighting, with the saturation cranked up. If that doesn't immediately turn you off, then the terrible terrible skits will. These skits make the Channel Awesome humanoids look like Daniel Day Lewis. I've seen better produced skits on modern iphones than the shit ass cameras used in NXT. Why should the audience care about someone like Tiffany Straton? Why is a bodybuilder with megamuscles doing a daddy gimmick? If her absurd appearance doesn't turn people away, the daddy shit would. And she sucks in ring. Not because she's green (there's that too), but because the WWE tells her to tune down her olympic level gymnastic skills so the one thing that could impress people is taken away from her.
So we get people like Mia Yim (32) getting fired for being too old, but we got Mandy Rose (31) LARPing as an attractive woman and not some plastic guidette with zero ass. Dakota Kai (33) is around too even though its clear she hates it there. The older talent dropping to the younger talent who have zero establishment or credibility which just makes it seem like the standard of talent is just non-existent.
Shitty gimmicks too, not just Stratton. Wendy Chu? Who the fuck is tuning in to see some fat asian broad yawn a lot. Who the fuck is tuning in for Van Hammer? Who wants to see karaoke fights? Poorly acted skits that lose all coherence halfway through a dialog. No one wants this shit.
