In pre-covid times I was on the road for work 150-200 nights a year doing infosec stuff. When you check in to a hotel:
> make sure it's not a ground reachable room> always look at the floor plan at the front desk> make sure you're not sharing wall w/ elevator > make sure you're not sharing wall w/ heating/cooling room > make sure you're not sharing wall w/ ice makerSeriously, this is frequent traveller 101.
