The fact Miz and Edge teased Cody related shit in promos the weak after he supposedly didn't reup with AEW was proof he wasn't signed. WWE guys forever tease shit like that when they know it isn't happening. Like Drew with the fucking Okada Tweets. Why would Cody have waited until after he didn't reup with AEW to begin negotiations with WWE? He had several weeks where he was working without a contract on a handshake deal. He could have easily reached out then to WWE to have a backup plan in place in case shit didn't go right. This is all a work. He is not coming to WWE. He is taking the ROH off of Grisham and is going to head up an invasion angle for AEW. This time off lets Cody film his side projects. He even stated he was going to work an angle that hadnt been done before
