>>4784862 Being "mainstream" is about money. Things that make a lot money (ex. Apple, Nike, Hip Hop, etc.) are what's considered mainstream. Ever since Vince killed the territories wrestling became a monopoly. The only company making serious money is WWE. It's good for them but bad for the health of the industry overall. MMA is relatively young but it's gained popularity all over the world. Wrestling by comparison is only followed in the US, Canada, the UK, Mexico and Japan. WWE should have done something like UFC Fight Pass did and "take other promotions under it's wing."
