Cody's the only one who got organic reactions from people. AEW has a dedicated fanbase and that's not the worst thing to have but yeah, other people don't react the same way and Cody's the only one who kind of did his own thing and he also got people talking the most during pretty much his whole run. From the early promos and feuds, to the open challenge, to the drama at the end.

Nobody really feels special in AEW. It just seems like everyone will have their obligatory run with the title (for 6-8 months) and then they move on to someone else. That was fine for NXT because NXT is supposed to be developmental. If everybody is "important" on your show then nobody is.
