It was hilarious to start because it was just Matt shitposting all over the dying industry. It's almost impossible to explain how sterile and generic everything in wrestling was in those years and it really seemed like the whole thing was dying and there was nothing to lose than to just undermine it all with dumb shit like the broken promos.
