Every time the tag division is put on center stage it fails to draw compared to singles matches
This has happened in every single modern company, you can blaim it on vince but the truth is that the onky time tag teams draw is when a stable or main event guys are involved
Even new japan just uses the tag divison as an excuse to put over singles guys who haven't been doing much
