The only family I knew that would do stuff like that were my neighbors and all of them were really talented and the daughter had the voice of angel. Im not particularly religious or into Christian music but there was something really wholesome about them and I think I felt the Holy Ghost through them at times.

I like to garden. I live in the midwest so the winter sucks but I've got a bunch of vegetable started in the house now. I have one at my house and a plot of land at the community center. Its a ton of fun. I really like to make my own salsa, tomato sauces and chile powders. Always tastes better when you grow it yourself, that's a shoot, brother.

Book of the new sun is series consisting of four books (shadow of the torturer, claw of the conciliator, sword of the lictor, and the citadel of the autarch) and its sequel urth of the new sun by author gene wolfe. It follows the adventures of severian who is a member of the guild of torturers on a planet called urth. It has elements of fantasy and scifi. The story is can be a bit confusing at times, but wolfe was a masterclass writer.

Felt like a nigger recently so I watched Menace II Society and Juice. Both based movies, but Menace II Society is fucking god tier for a coon flick. I liked Juice too but not as much even though it had 2pac. The part with the DJ competition felt weird because everyone but the main character just keeps restarting their mix in an odd random off beat way. I also went back further and checked out a nigger movie called Coffy and goddamn, I have jungle fever now.
