He let jericho get a win over him in 97 and have a cool little moment. He didnt have to do anything he could have just squashed him seeing as scott was one of the biggest stars in wrestling and jericho was a cruiserweight nobody. What did people want him to do? Put Jericho go over clean in a 30 minute match and then have Jericho go into the main event to feud with Hollywood hogan? He never refused to put over Jericho. He went against WCW and Bischoff’s direct orders and put Jericho over in a match he was supposed to bury him in. Jericho being mad at him thirty years later over literally nothing but banter just shows that Jericho is kind of a bitch. And I like Jericho.

He wasn’t friends with Xpac when he put him over. Waltman was brand new to the WWF and Hall didn’t know him, he put him over because it was part of a storyline for him. He then grew to love Waltman and his behind the scenes support of him was the biggest reason Waltman wasn’t a Brooklyn Brawler tiger jobber in the WWF. Tanahashi was just like anyone else, Hall would put over anyone he liked or saw potential in. He knew he was bulletproof.
