Maybe they screw her on a payday, merch sales, whatever and she snaps. I want to write a scene where they are both in a hotel room together. Io sitting on the bed looking at Gigi while she stares out the window smoking a cigarette. Gigi will go into a monologue about doing what she had to do, how there is no going back now, and urging Io to walk away and return to her life before she is put in any danger.
A brief pause would happen before Io speaks up. She will reply that she cannot return to what never existed. Gigi would stop in her tracks and look at her puzzingly. Io would elaborate that while her career is decorated with milestones and major accomplishments, but at the end of the day her personal life was an empty void covered up by her career highlights. Or at least it was that way until she met Gigi. In their short time together, that is the first time she ever felt truly alive. She would continue on professing her feelings, assuring Gigi that she is ride or die until the end. Them versus the world? Io liked those odds. If it came down to it, they would meet absolute oblivion head on.. together.
Gigi would be speechless from this revelation. She would sit down on the bed next to Io stunned trying to process it all. Her heart racing as her thoughts filled her head. Before she could think too much, Io would lean over and they would kiss, passionately making out.
