The truth of the matter is, AEW doesn't have near the market penetration that WWE has and that's not going to change within this decade. 2030s onward, AEW might catch up or even exceed them, but it's going to take time. It's not just about having market presence, but changing people's mindset to accept AEW as another legitimate wrestling company.
Now, assuming Hook leaves AEW and goes to the WWE, that's when he'll run into the issue of a) his size b) the fact that his dad was mainly known as a commentator in WWE and NOT a badass and c) the stigma of having come from AEW.
Hook's best chance would be if Michael Cole goes to bat for him, in view of his relationship with Taz. Otherwise, Dom's already, and will remain, the bigger star for the rest of this decade.
