A lot of the podcasts these days are by older wrestlers who just don't keep up or don't even like with modern wrestling so they have some mark co-host, usually southern, who just tells them whats going on and then the old person goes "Well I think thats bullshit" Most of these podcasts are clearly just the mark co-hosts, with the famous wrestling personality attached to it so people listen to it.
I'd much rather watch the Cornette and Paul Bearer shoot for the 100th time than listen to Cornette's thoughts on a raw he admits to skipping so Brian Last has to read it out to him and Cornette goes "hmm doesn't sound too good." wow, insightful thoughts. Then the rest of the podcast is Cornette ranting about AEW, shilling a project, or Brian Last trying to explain a modern pop culture thing to him
